While heard about Thien Ha cave in Nho Quan – Ninh Binh, we were all eager to discover. You could follow the tour of Kenh Ga – Van Long – Thien Ha cave to satisfy yourself.
Many foreign visitors and every body in our tour were eager to come to Thien Ha cave to witness. The long journey from Van Long to Kenh Ga hot spring to Bai Dinh pagoda and Thien Ha cave is about tens of km. The beauty of Ben Dang River among the mountains with the curiosity left us urging to discover and forget the hot of the summer. And here we came.
In front of our eyes is Thien Ha cave, which is deep inside the Tuong mountain range with the height of nearly 200m. That was part of the natural wall, which protected Hoa Lu city in X century. From Tho Ha village, we come to the boat to enjoy the small canal, which is curling, and soft like the shape of dragon. Then, we continued to walk on the stone path for 500m more to come to the entrance of the cave. The entrance is only 3-4m high, but that is the interesting thing to witness the smallest pattern carved by the nature.
The cave is about 700m long with the dry cave of 200m and the wet cave of 500m. Visitors could not finish surprised of the world of the stalactites before coming a light from the height to open a space to broaden the minds of people. That is a “stone castle” which is lively and has spirit: this is the shape of the frog, which is the shape of elephant, tiger and monkey, or higher is the statues of Buddha, etc. All encouraged the curiosity of the people.
Continuing the journey on the bamboo boat floating on the Galaxy with many layers and shapes of stalactites, we could witness Hoa Tien islet, Mother’s Breast islet, Fish turns to Dragon islet, etc which was like in the fairyland and deep in the fairy. In that quiet space, we could feel the purity of this land, there was only the sound of the oar, the sound of the wind going through the stone flocks and the sound of water drops, which was like keeping the rhythm of the time.
Thien Ha was really the mark of cave travelling in Ninh Binh for tourist to discover and being drunk.
